Hello!!! I want to ask all of you nurses if you know anything about that NCLEX will be available in non-US sites in 2004( in Europe and other continents). Maybe you could give some links to articles or just some information. Thanks

There has been talk of a pilot program being instituted later this year but nothing definite has been posted. One country that will probably be included is Australia, the others were either Japan or Korea, I think England or Ireland. I remember seeing about six. But I do not know when it is going to go into effect and if it is definitely this year. Over on this side of the world, we already have Saipan available as it is offered in US territories. You do not need an American visa to enter Saipan for the test.
I would not worry about NCLEX at this moment. From the immigration lawyers, it is much quicker to obtain a visa using the CGFNS exam rather than just NCLEX. Many states require you to have CGFNS to practice there and obtain a license in their state if you do not have two years experience in the state where you first obtained your license. Many nurses that I get PMs from are having that problem now. The other thing is completing the Visa Screen which means getting all of your English exams completed.
Some states will tell you that you don't need English in their state to get a license, but no hospital will hire you as an RN without documentation of your English conversational skills. To get a Visa Screen, you are required to have the English exams completed.
