Hey everyone!

Each person will have their own take on the exam because it is HIGHLY individualized. Very rare that two people will see the same questions, each has it's own focus and since I empathsize with your nervousness (been there last year), I don't want to taint your brain. Make sure that you read the questions carefully, and what worked for me was to imagine myself doing or thinking all of the situations presented before me. Don't read the questions as a book, read it as if you are actually wearing a white uniform doing the actions listed, and see if they make sense to you.

The review class I went to strongly suggested to us not to speak to other test takers during break or before, because they sometimes transfer their own nervousness on you. Also, they may ask if you had a certain question and make you think that you chose the wrong answer...making it harder to go back in there to complete the test without doubting yourself. While the person may have had a SIMILAR question, the focus of that question may be different; (for example) it may have been an RN test-taker, who, of course, their focus is slightly different from yours. Practice relaxation techniques in case you are prone to panic. And, they have even went as far as to say do NOTHING different before the exam, may it be to suddenly decide to quit drinking coffee, change your hairstyle or try a new, exotic food, which may make you sick. Try and visit the testing center before you go, if you haven't already. You need to know how to travel there, see where there is parking, estimate how long it takes to get there, etc. All of these things lead to stress when you are about to take a life-changing exam such as this.

It is normal to be nervous; it is the last step as well as the unknown. Reading here can also heighten anxiety when you read some posts that strike your cord. Not saying to not communicate with us, but, just acknowledging that we do live through others here and elsewhere. Try to put the books down about two days before the exam, because you may become confused and lose confidence if you answer some questions wrong just before the test. At this point, you have done all that you can do. It is very hard, I know. But, try. Go to bed early the night before, if you pray, do so, of meditate and think of yourself already being an LPN. Good luck to you...and go get them, Tiger!
