nclex time frame

hi guys. I am a Registered Nurse in the Philippines and i am currently enjoying my vacation here in Illinois. The US immigration only gave me 6 months to stay here. I also am planning to take the licensure exam here in Illinois but is 6 months enough for me to have my requirements ready, have them evaluated, and take the exam?thanks you very much..

Time frame can vary from 4-6 months but a lot will depend on how timely documentation is received. Probably better to have started the process before your trip to the US.

You can try but be prepared that you may have to return to the Philippines before you sit the exam.

u think i could make the application here and take the exam in the philippines?

Once you have eligibility to sit the exam you can sit it anywhere that the test is done, all you need is your ATT plus if taken outside the US there is usually another fee to pay

last question. is IELTS acceptable as an english proficiency exam in Illinois or do i need to take the TOEFL?

Should state on their website what is acceptable. If they only mention TOEFL then that is all they will accept. I would say if in doubt contact them
