I am a new LPN graduate from a little priviate college in Topmemberh, WA called Heritage University. The school uses the ATI program to prepare students for the NCLEX. So far it appears that the ATI program does a good job getting a person ready for the NCLEX. The 4 students, out of the class of 24, who have tested have passed. 3 of us got 85 questions and one of us got 160 question. So I feel that those results indicate that ATI does a pretty good job.
I found the NCLEX questions to have much less information in them. They seemed very straight forward. The Pharmacology questions mentioned many drugs that I was not familiar with and which didn't have prefixes or suffixes that helped figure out what type of med they were. One of my friends did pay for the added NCLEX prep program tutorial, but I apparently did just as well as she did, so I don't know that it was necessary.
I am just glad to have passed and to be getting into the job market!

My school also uses the ATI programs and I'll be interested to see how the NCLEX compares to what we were prepared with. I am applying for my license on Wednesday and soon enough I'll know!
Good luck... If you did ok on the ATI I believe you will do well on the NCLEX.

Honestly , I used the ATI and a bunch of saunders questions to pass my PN-NLCEX. Just remember to be consistent and concentrate on your weak areas, and you'll be fine

I had to take the ATI for my bachelors program as well. I found the questions on the ATI to be easier than the questions on the NCLEX. The ATI, although very long, was straight forward and for the most part I knew or could guess the answer. When I was done, I felt I had done well, and I had. The NCLEX on the other hand was difficult question after difficult question. I was done after 75 questions and I thought I had failed; it was that hard. I did pass, however, but I didn't feel like the two tests are all that similar.
