If you will be taking NCLEX and would like to be prayed for, can we start a fourm for this. I know that some folks are not into prayer and I don't want to offend anyone, but I sure need it!
Im new to posting here but I really need some encouragement. I took my NCLEX-PN for the first time this morning it cut off at 85 and I feel terrible. I feel like I guessed at most of them. Now I am waiting for results feeling like Im going to have to retake.
Don't give up hope! Just wait for the final results! I took the NCLEX-RN on Tuesday and it cut off at 75 and I thought I failed and I didn't. Just try to relax for now. I'll be praying for you. Good Luck!
I just took the nclex for the third time on Tuesday and was there 5 hours and got 265 questions and failed AGAIN.... This is the most frustrating test I have ever taken... I am even debating whether or not to take the test again because I am so discouraged Now I feel like I have a useless degree, and am a failure... I feel embarrased and shameful.. Does anyone have any pickme up advice?? Should I try it again??
emmylou686,
my dear i bet it must be really really hard at this moment for you. i know you wish this on anyone...........but please don't discourage yourself.
you just have to get back into the ball game and start all over again! just keep going!
1. did you studying enough?
2.are you working full time while studying? maybe you need to cut hours and focus on studying.
3.is it that you don't understand what the question is asking for?
4. is it a 2nd language barrier? not trying to offend anyone, but i have a problem like that. my primary language is spanish and there are some words i don't understand, i always keep my handy medical dictionary by my side. even though i speak perfect english there are words i come upon to that i don't understand or might not know.
5. did you take any helpfull courses to guide you and train you? if not try taking:
use this website also called http://www.onlinenclexreview.com it's a good website. you take these test which are like kaplan test and it shows you where you are weak at. it's pretty cheap.
another website that i've done is: http://www.rnquiz.com that one helped me too.
another website that our college uses as exit exams and practice test is http://www.atitesting.com
just dont give up, just keep going! do other resources and use them.
i hope this helps! do you get a letter from the boards stating what your weaknesses are?
take care,

I have not yet received the letter. My mom is convinced that the computer is wrong :) I am a Montana born and raised girl so english is primary language.... I have studied but I don't know if I can ever study enough... I just feel embarrased and I feel bad for my parents because what do they tell people when they ask what their child does... Oh my daughter graduated from nursing school in may 07 and can't pass the test to be a nurse so shes working as a barista... Its embarrasing... blah... I am very discouraged and down and kind of feeling sorry for myself Anyways, thanks for the sites. I will check those out... thanks for listening to me complain...
jewelzstar1stay positive girl! that's the only thing you can do! keep practicing questions! read those rationales and understand them.
stay positive, have faith, be strong and above all keep praying!!
if you keep thinking and being that way all good will come to you!!!
i take my boards also for rn this tuesday the 22nd! i'll be rooting for ya!!!! :anpom:
keep focus!!!!

:lvan:
thank you very much. i will stay positive and i will also be rooting for you as well. good luck and thanks again.
I still haven't heard anything and I took my test on Tuesday. This is not the first or second time I have taken this test and it is really starting to bring me down. I thought that I have done everything right: not give up, constantly study to keep my mind fresh, be positive and think positive.....I really don't know what else to do. I am at my wits end because I want this so bad and I don't understand why I never see my name on the license website. I have taken a course (unfortunately somethings happened right after taking it that did not allow me to fully use the resource;life is still going on when you are preparing for boards), I have read a few books...I have the cards with the questions....I stopped counting how many questions I have actually done. I don't know...I am sorry for venting but I need something to get me through the weekend. Thanks for listening.
