If you will be taking NCLEX and would like to be prayed for, can we start a fourm for this. I know that some folks are not into prayer and I don't want to offend anyone, but I sure need it!
Dimples- I heard that Suzanne's program works wonders if you put in the time and are committed to studying. I will be taking the NCLEX in 2 months. I am also using the Saunders book and doing all the test bank questions. Some of the questions I am seeing, we never even learned in school. Good Luck to everyone that will be taking the NCLEX. You are all in my prayers.
Hello everyone. I promised myself that I would post after I took my NCLEX exam. I took my NCLEX in California on January 29th. On February 3rd, I found out that I passed. I wanted to post to let you know how my exam experience was for me because it may help many of you. My exam shut off at 75 questions, during the exam I cried, and the rest of the day I spent crying, I was completely positive that I had failed. No matter how you do, you will come out feeling like you failed. Next came the waiting game and that was probably the worst part. Everyone says its over and done with so don't stress it but that is impossible to do. Just try and keep yourself busy but the test will be in the back of your mind until you get your results. In order to study for the test, I took the in-class Kaplan as well as the online questions. I was getting between 55-68% on all of the question trainers. I also did the learning extension program where I did all of their questions. In the end I ended up doing 4800 questions before my exam. I really recommend Kaplan because I feel that it prepared me the most. the learning extension program is okay but it does give you extra practice. I think that the Kaplan questions are harder then NCLEX but the NCLEX answers are a little more broad and tricky. Don't worry if you are not scoring really high on Kaplan, it is okay!! Before the test I also made a list of all lab values and the different positions to make sure I understood all of it. The exam had a lot of pharm on it as well as priority questions. It is impossible to study the thousands of meds that could be on the exam so just study the ones you come across while you are taking practice questions. The exam makes you feel horrible and you may feel numb afterwards, it is okay. Just breathe and take it one question at a time. You have gotten through nursing school and this is the final step. Keep a positive attitude and wait for results before you start studying again. I was positive I had failed, but anything is possible. good luck to all of you. :)

Hey-I agree with your decision not to change the date because you are probably ready to get in there and get it over with. When I was getting ready for the exam ( I took it in October 2008), every five questions I would close my eyes and imagine a setting that was really peaceful. And that really helped me re-focus and relax. I used that during the test too. I would also take deep breaths. Good luck! I think you'll do great.
