Hi,

I believe that you have 45 days once you get your ATT.....Good luck!

is that sure ..? 45 days only?. my friend got her ATT for New Jersey , told that she has 2 years to take the examination. For New York, 45 days alone?...

Each BON will have their own expiry so would suggest contacting them as I can't remember myself how long it is for NY but was more than 45 days when I booked my dates to travelling to the US to sit it. This was before it could be taken outside the US

Now,that I think about it,it's like this(but call BON first).....for taking NCLEX first time you have 90 days after recieving your ATT to sit for the exam. But if you fail(of course you wont),then you have 45 days to retake....

I'm sorry about confusion, and scaring you. But,like I said, the best thing is to call BON and find out for sure.

Once you get the letter from BRN, register at PearsonVue and they will send you an e-mail of ATT (if u sign up online), it has the date when you can schedule your exam. (Normally about 45 days from when u took your last test). I hust register yeaterday and got the e-mail and sign-up for the test.

Correct me if I am wrong, please

There is no mention that they are taking a resit. It should say on ATT how long they have as each BON/BRN is different if not sure the best thing to do is contact BON/BRN and check with them

I just took the NCLEX in NY you have 90 days. I hope this helps. It will show right on your ATT the date that you are required to have taken the exam.

Did you in fact get the CVS completed and you were notified that it was sent out? We never recommend that one registers with Pearson-Vue untol you know that your credentials have been accepted by them. This is so very important when one has trained out of the US.

Once NY has received the CVS and has the Form 1 in their possession as well, then it is usually about a month before the ATT will be sent out by Pearson-Vue provided that the payment has been received by them and they have been granted the release by NY as well.

Once you receive the ATT, then you have exactly 90 days to test in for NY. Getting permission to test and actually getting the ATT are two different things. NJ grants a two year window for the letter that grants permission to test but the ATT does not have a validity for any state for two years. Once payment is sent into Pearson-Vue, they never have a file open for more than one year at the longest.
