nclex scare

I am freaking out! My friend took her test on yesterday and she said the test was so hard. She said that there is no way to study for this test. She and i both study using kaplan, exam cram and lacharity. She had 265?'s and alot os sata's. My test is scheduled for march 31st and i have to pass cause i have to find a job like asap cause ive been off work trying to get through nursing school! Any suggestions for the nclex?!!!! Yeah i have been doing questions and reading content.

Best way to deal with the test is to prepare. That is really all one can do. Good luck.

Thanks i have been preparing since december. My school gave me a free review with ncsbn and i had to complete that before they even released my transcript. I have done plenty of questions and next week i plan to work on nothing but meds, infection control and lab values.

Hi!

I just took my NCLEX yesterday (PASSED!!) with 75 questions and comparing with my friends we ALL got at least some content on infection control and prioritization (which patient you would see first). I bet my test was 80% prioritization!! So, I would recommend studying which medical conditions are more serious and use your ABC's for everything! I'm in NE Ohio so I was lucky enough to take Buszta NCLEX review which is amazing! She gives you a list of all priority patients (lower quadrant abd pain, fat embolism sx, child with epiglottitis, babies with high temps, etc.) and then a list of patients not so priority (COPD, Cystic Fibrosis, upper quadrant abd pain, etc.) I hope this helps...GOOD LUCK!!
