NCLEX-RN result to be forwarded to AHPRA

Published

AHPRA is requesting for both the verification of my RN license and my NCLEX result.

To those of you who had the same dilemma while you were still applying for resgistraion/assessment,

where and how did you request that you successfully passed your NCLEX-RN?

Obviously, the verification of license will be done by the state where i am a licensee.

tia

i had the same dilemma too. i just arrange for the verification of my license be sent to AHPRA. i have no idea that they would also require the NCLEX result since they haven't communicated with me yet. i just sent my application last April 21, 2011 and they acknowledge it last April 27, 2011. aside from the acknowledgement, i havent heard anything from them yet.

what state did you send your application? when did you submit it?

according to AHPRA QLD, for as long as the verification of license states that the applicant has passed the NCLEX, than that is enough evidence. I do not know why they are asking for the NCLEX result which in fact a licensee can not obtain an RN license in any state in the US without passing that examination. WEIRD!!!

maybe they think that NCLEX doesnt have to do with the RN license? :uhoh3:

at least i still have the letter from NCSBN dated back 2007 that i passed the NCLEX. if they dont accept that as proof then i really do not know what to do.

HAve they already received the verification of license before they required you to submit the NCLEX result? i think that maybe all we need is to arrange for the verification of license be sent to them since it would already be understandable that having the license means that you had already passed the NCLEX.

would you submit to them the original letter from NCSBN? i included there in my application a notarized photocopy of of the NCSBN letter stating that i had passed the NCLEX and a notarized photocopy of my registration certificate from Vermont USA.

nope. i only sent them the notorized copy of my RN license. upon receipt of my application, they emailed me telling that i have to ask the BON for the verification of my RN license to be sent directly to them. In addition, they also asked for evidence that i passed the NCLEX RN.

nope. i will do what you did. just the notorized photocopy of the NCSBN. Have they already received your verification? if they did and they havent contacted you for any deficiency, maybe the notorized copy of the letter from NCSBN was good enough for proof? what you think? :yeah:

They haven't received my verification yet since it would only be today that it would reach Vermont BON.( i sent my request for verification to Vermont just this monday via courier).I think it would then take two weeks for AHPRA to receive the verification coz Vermont BON would probably only send it via snail mail.

As for the notarized copy of our NCLEX result, if AHPRA would not accept it then you could probably email your state BON for advice on what it could provide or you could also contact and arrange with NCSBN to provide AHPRA with an official copy of your NCLEX result.
