Good idea and good luck. I did the same. Took mine on July 2nd, Wednesday was the 4th so a holiday, but I did not want to the PVT. So I paid for unofficial results 48 hours after and I passed. What a weight lifted off. Now just waiting to be put onto the registry, its taking longer than it did to get onto the LPN registry, frustrating but just a waiting game now.
I can't say for sure, but that could be a good thing. Seems every test is so different so its hard to say. Mine I had a TON of SATA, didn't count but a lot. Most of my questions were over pediatrics (bleh). I maybe knew 5 of the 75 questions...if that. I think the doubt of passing happens in 99% of students, and the 1% that don't doubt are probably over confident and didn't pass. Wish for the best!
Oh man! I just took mine on June 26th. I am sending you all my good juju/vibes/prayers. Mine cut off after 80 questions. I had ZERO med calc, three or so exhibit, and tons of the dreaded SATA I was SO worried, because it felt like half my questions were on mat/peds (my weakest subject). Everyone's experience is different.
But it was ok! I did the PVT, but really, it did not provide me with much solace - I really question the accuracy of that trick.

Did you get the good pop up? im still waiting on my results and am really nervous. I took mine yesterday. So far it has been accurate for my classmates 7 good pop ups and 1 bad and person failed unfortunately.
I have to agree I think the NCLEX is exhausting. Took it today, got 105 questions, they seemed to get easy then difficult and the back to easy...a game of bradycardia to asystole to supravent vtach then to kussmaul breathing! I was asked to help answer questions for new exams but I coulnd't see straight after that cardiac stress test. got to the car did the PVT and got the good pop up repeatedly even when I got back to the hotel room. I studied for over a month and felt like it all went out the door when the screen popped up and the exam commenced.

exactly how i felt, i used uworld. while uworld did help me with content, i felt the way the questions were worded differently which made it seem that much more difficult. good luck to you! i also got the good pop up after receiving my email. Everyone whom passed and did the PVT said i passed, but we will find out. Here in california it can take weeks to get my results. did PVT post 24 h and still got good popup so i hope i passed.

Took the NCLEX earlier today, stopped at 80s. I had about 20 SATAs 1 drag and drop 2 med calcs an exhibit question and the rest are multiple choice questions. So afraid to do the PVT so I'm gonna wait for 2 days for the unofficial results. Anyway I thank God for the opportunity given me, that is to take the NCLEX:)
