nclex/rn inquiry

Hello. I just registered as a member of allnurses. I need clarification regarding the nclex/rn result. I took my exam in the USA last Oct. 13 and have not received any result yet in the mail . I went back to the Philippines and my sister called up the california board of nursing inquiring about the delay in the transport of the result. According to her the lady she talked to said that I don't have a fingerprint in their file and this caused the delay in their mailing my license. I submitted a fingerprint when I applied for NCLEX/Rn examination last Sept. 2006. Does anyone had this same problem and if so do I have to get another fingerprint done and since I am now in the Philippines where do I have it done. I had a fingerprint live scannning done in the US when I applied for the examination. Thanks.

Moving post to the Philippine forum. There are a couple of threads discussing fingerprints and where to get them done if you do a search I am sure you will find them.

Welcome and hope you get sorted soon

The problem is CA BRN do not have it in their file. It may be just a matter of logistics and w/c can be easily be remedied fast if you just re-do it again rather than investigate at what point the problem arose. Live scanning is already the fastest way and the only way if in the US.

If you are already in PH and wants to just re-do it, you have to do the Manual mode. Request CA BRN to send you a manual f.print card in their website and have it done in NBI, Carreido (Main branch) if you live within Metro Manila. If you live in the Provinces, some main regional NBI centers do it as well.

Well, I don't know if this will be of help to you...but, let me share one of my fingerprinting experiences...

I am DRE licensed (as a real estate salesperson).. It took me a long time to get my license and California DRE told me I don't have my fingerprint result on their file. I went to get another fingerprint and was told again that DRE did not have it. I called the Department of Justice and was told that they have problems with some of my fingerprints - they were not readable. I then went to get another fingerprint and made a formal statement that my fingers are the way they are and that I did not do anything to them and, maybe, I had had an accident when I was a kid that caused some of my fingerprints to be unreadable.... Shortly thereafter, I got my license.

My advice, call DOJ
