NCLEX RN 6/6 and got PVT pop up

Published

So I took NCLEX in Alabama at 4 and by 530, I was able to log in to Pearson, in which I received the pop-up!! I hope the trick worked for me :)

I'll give you you insight to my studying process!

Graduated May 9th and registered as soon as possible to test. June 6th was the earliest time slot available.

Began studying the Hurst review on May 23rd. I have the older edition from my sister when she went through nursing school, so it's an edition older. But that didn't seem to bother me during my test. I listened to it one time in my car while driving, then listened and wrote in on my worksheets, then reread the worksheets everyday until Wednesday, the 4th. After studying the worksheets thoroughly, I did random online practice exams. None of which I paid for. I didn't buy any books full of questions. I completed the mock NCLEX that Hurst provided. And I studied from 10-4 each day, so no long, strenuous hours studying non-stop!!

Once I reached question 75 on the test, I didn't know if I should expect it to cut off or not. It didn't. I kind of became semi-discouraged when it didn't. So at question 76, I had to re-gather myself and re-focus on the material. At 81, it shut off!!!!

The Hurst was extremely helpful when I was at the difficult level questions. I felt like I knew how to think through them, because on the lower level questions, you either know them or don't. There's no thinking through those types of questions. I had about 7 SATA, 2 drag questions, no hot spots, and no math questions!!

I hope hope this helps those who are studying!! You can do it, it is definitely bearable!!

I'm taking mine Monday, I can feel the ulcers in my stomach forming and the anxiety related chest problems, lol. I've been reading and doing Kaplan question since the week after I graduated which was also May 9th my scores are getting better, trying not to let my nerves get the best of me. Congrats to you I'm proud of you!!!!! :)

Thank you!! You'll rock it then, no worries!!

And I checked the AL BON yesterday morning and I did pass. Found out less than 24 hours afte my test!!
