After failing the NCLEX on my first attemp I felt defeated and questioned my abilitties to be a nurse, but reading everyone's experiences on here gave me hope. I graduated in May and scheduled my test June 1st. I used the ATI books and questions I felt confident. Although I felt ready I still did not pass. I believe my mistakes were that I speed through the test and tried to find an answer without CRITICALLY thinking. On my second attemp I used Uworld and realized how a single word in a question can make a hug huge difference. I completed about 1200 Uworld questions and made sure to understand the rationales. I had two practice assements abd my scores were borderline (51%). While taking the NCLEX I would ask my self, what is this questions asking? What to do first? Priority? If I still was unsure of tge correct answer I would ask my self what will keep the patient safe? Is this life or death situation? Nursity on youtube gives you great examples! In conclusion, if you finished nursing school you can and will pass the NCLEX! Find active ways to study, and don't doubt yourself... Good luck to future test takers!
