NCLEX-RN EXAM

Published

I really need help. I have failed the NCLEX-RN for the second time. I have studied till my eyes bled. Have used "Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment by Linda LaCharity", "Davis's Q&A for the NCLEX-RN Exam by Kathleen Ohman, "Saunders Q&A Review Cards". Nothing helps, I have been getting anywhere from 80 to 95% of the questions correct but cant pass the test. Can anyone recommend a Review course to take that is geared toward the updated NCLEX exam that wont break my purse??? PLEASE HELP.

The two review courses that are most talked about are Kaplan and Hurst. I think the Kaplan Qbank version is best as the in person review can be less than optimal according to people who have attended. But keep in mind that it is persistence that is going to get you through this. Good luck.

I will be retaking my test for the second time at the end of OCT. I really thought I studied everything. I found myselft cramming. I was not able to retain infor by doing this. Did you cram for the exam? The quality of your review matters I hear. Are you just memorizing facts instead of knowing why or how things work? Some things you can get away with by memorizing, but the NCLEX is no joker to be trying to just memorize things. Each rationiale needs to be looked at thoroughly and know "why" this is.Most people do 100 to 150 questions a day.Anything over this and you could forget. I remember trying to do 200 and sometimes 300 of Kaplan's Q bank a day,the last time. It showed on my test day. I hope this helps, because this is what others have done who have passed.
