NCLEX-RN in Canada/Visa screen

Moved to the Nurse Registration forum.

Starting point would be checking out the provincial college of nursing website. Visa screen certificate is for the US not Canada. It is easier to start the process before you arrive in Canada but how are you getting your PR or work permit?

Thanks for your response, I don't have idea on how to get my work permit. Pls I need a guide. Also is IELTS required to work in Canada?

Yes English exam is a requirement. As stated before starting point would be provincial college of RN and looking at requirements for International Trained Nurses and once you have eligibility to sit NCLEX or have passed NCLEX then look at the CIC website for ways to live and work in Canada

The NCLEX is the same on either side of the border. What province do you want to move to? That's the very first thing you should decide. Then look at the website for the registered nurse regulatory body for that province, usually called the College of Registered Nurses to see how their assessment processes work. Your education and experience will be assessed against that of a Canadian-born and educated nurse to determine your suitability. Your IELTS score must be at least 7.0 overall and 7.5 in listening. You will most likely need to have your immigration sorted out before you'll be given permission to write the NCLEX and to have your immigration sorted out you will need either a sponsor or a job offer. Prepare for a long, difficult and expensive process and understand that at present, internationally-educated nurses are not in demand anywhere at the moment except perhaps QuÃ©bec - where you will need fluency in French.
