Nclex-rn books?

Published

Hi, can anyone recommend any good NCLEX-RN review books to prepare for the nclex? Please and thank you!

Like the name of book/edition/author, thanks in advance!

Anyone have any recommendations?

Try the Saunders or Kaplan books; they've been recommended by several that have taken the NCLEX.

I only had a day and a half to prepare, I did the CD in the Purple Kaplan book the newest edition and I thought the first half of the book explained how to break down the questions really good. I wasn't planning on having such a short amount of time to prepare but it turned out good. I passed in 75 questions.

^ wow!! congrats!!!!!!!

I really need to prepare, so I was looking for recommendations of books to purchase to help me. I don't want to buy a lot of books and spend a lot of money, just a few really good ones that will definitely help me for the exam.

If you school has a good program then the best thing you can do is take it right away. That is when it's all fresh. I would take it as soon as possible. I drove to another state (was 3.5 hr drive) to take mine so that I didn't have to wait weeks to take it locally. It paid off. I got my license 2.5 weeks before any classmates and was able to able for jobs before them and got a job offer before they took theirs. Also by the time they took it so many more people were doing it from other schools too it took a week for their license to post online. Mine was up the next day. It really does pay off to just go get it done and have faith you know your stuff.
