I take my boards soon, and I am clueless on what to really focus on!! What are some good books to go over?

I used Saunders and Exam Cram, but I think it is very IMPORTANT to know your: Lab Values, Delegation, Prioritization and how to answer SATA. Those questions will be the bulk of your test. I remember trying to remember every disease there was possible and being disappointed when I took my test that they didn't show up on the test. Always make sure you read the beginning of any NCLEX book because it teaches you how to answer the questions properly.....even if you don't know, how to pick the most intelligent choice....VERY KEY. Make sure you are reading every part of the question and that your not going too fast and miss a key word. Read the question a couple of times and when your studying always try to answer the question before you look at choices. I think that is important.

As for studying, I did 200 questions a day. 100 in the morning and 100 in the evening for three weeks straight. The reason why I did split it was because it gave me time to internalize it. Talk to yourself when your walking, driving, etc.....spitting back the information that you've just learned. Things that were hard for me to understand, I youtubed it. God luck. The trick to doing well is staying calm so that you can remember all of your information. Good luck.

I used Saunders, Hogan and a book I got on amazon that had questions for prioritization and delegation. I focused on what a nurse should know, and it worked. Passed in 75 questions.

saunders, kaplan 2011-12, hurst. and some nclex cram online.. good luck!!
