NCLEX review guides for nursing students

Published

I will begin nursing school in January. I read somewhere that using a NCLEX review guide is a good study tool. Has anyone found this book useful and are there other books that one would highly recommend to use along with my regular textbooks? :nurse: to be in five semesters.

I find the NCLEX review books to be very useful. I use Saunder's NCLEX review book. It has an outline of material for each chapter and then 10-20 questions for each chapter. It also has two 200 question tests at the end. I also use the Lippincott's review series books. They are very useful and similar to the NCLEX review book but they do go a little more in depth. Good luck!

I also used saunders to study with throughout school as well as for nclex. best of luck to you. !!

Same here, I use the Saunders NCLEX book and the CD. The outline format they use makes reviewing before a test much easier than reading everything I highlighted in the book!

Good luck!

When in nursing school I had no time for NCLEX books, what with 200-300 page reading assignments and careplans, how do ya find time for that? Good lord, I can't imagine that. You will be BUSY, believe me, without adding more review/reading to your repertoir....

I say concentrate on your many assignments, careplan-writing, (that alone will make you wanna pull your hair out at times), clinical performance prep's etc. and leave the NCLEX books alone til you reach your final/senior semester.

Best wishes. :)
