I find the NCLEX review books to be very useful. I use Saunder's NCLEX review book. It has an outline of material for each chapter and then 10-20 questions for each chapter. It also has two 200 question tests at the end. I also use the Lippincott's review series books. They are very useful and similar to the NCLEX review book but they do go a little more in depth. Good luck!
When in nursing school I had no time for NCLEX books, what with 200-300 page reading assignments and careplans, how do ya find time for that? Good lord, I can't imagine that. You will be BUSY, believe me, without adding more review/reading to your repertoir....
I say concentrate on your many assignments, careplan-writing, (that alone will make you wanna pull your hair out at times), clinical performance prep's etc. and leave the NCLEX books alone til you reach your final/senior semester.
Best wishes. :)

I will begin nursing school in January. I read somewhere that using a NCLEX review guide is a good study tool. Has anyone found this book useful and are there other books that one would highly recommend to use along with my regular textbooks?
to be in five semesters.
