NCLEX Review Books & Study Tips?

Published

Hi-

I am going into the 4th semester in the fall and currently have the Saunders NCLEX review book, but have heard many great things about Kaplan. I searched through some Kaplan products and was wondering if anyone has suggestions on what Kaplan book to buy since there are many to choose from. Also any other study suggestions for the NCLEX-RN are greatly appreciated.

Thank you

You can find many study tips just by reading several of the threads in this forum. Many people have been successful using the Saunders Comprehensive Review. You should also get the book on prioritization by Linda LaCharity. If you can afford the Kaplan course, any of their products is worthwhile. You might want to peruse the nursing section in a bookstore to find what looks good to you. If you can afford an online or in person review, you can consider that avenue, but most people do fine just by preparing on their own. The basic advice is to do as many questions as possible and study the rationales. Relax the day before the test. Good luck.

I think you can do well with the resources you have alone. THere are other ways to pass than taking review courses. I know I spent a butt load of money and it didnt help. Saunders is the way to go. And I highly recommend LaCharity!!!
