I was wondering if anyone had tried this board game:

It's very fun! I'm almost done with my first semester of a BSN program, and I play it with my husband who is graduating his ADN program in May. We love it!

never heard of it before, but looks like it could be really fun AND helpful especially for helping with remembering! How does the game work? Like how in depth are the questions and how do you win? :-p

I've seen it at Barnes and Noble when I go there but I didn't get it yet because I figured I should be farther into the program and I am just now finishing my first ASN semester. I might have to pick it up to keep my mind fresh this summer.

My friend bought me this game from B&N. I was kind of ticked because they jipped me out of a dice and player pieces . So, I have been playing with monopoly pieces:bugeyes:
I usually play with my BF. Sad thing is, he has beat me 3 times (he works with computers.) Though, I beat him the majority of the time. He just rolled better than me those times!
Basically you just roll a die, move the number of spaces, and answer the question of the category you have landed on. I believe it's psychology, physiologic adaptation, safe and effective environment, and health promotion. They have test taking tips- which offers a tip, and usually another turn or forward movement on the board. They also have test taking traps - things that could prevent you from not performing so well on the NCLEX. This also means losing a turn or moving back some spaces.
It does come with a rationale book. It takes too long to look up the rationales, though, when you just want a quick game. I will probably go through the decks later on - once school is over - and actually read the rationales.
It's a neat little game, though. It made me think that I should forget about nursing and strike it big by making the first Wii Nclex game, or something.
OH, a Wii NCLEX game! That would be fun. (:
Yeah, the questions come in select all that apply or multiple choice. The select all that apply questions are a pain in the butt when you have to answer them and you can't look at the card.

I have an older version (passed down from a friend who graduated before I started). I play it with friends from my program when we want a "study break" but think we should still actually do something sort of educational.
It goes GREAT with a glass of wine!
