NCLEX for 3rd time

Published

I've visited this site often and have read some stories of people conquering the nclex. I graduated in May 2014 and 2 weeks after graduation I began the path to becoming an RN. School unfortunately made it mandatory to do virtual ATI in order to get our ATT. At first I felt alright with ATI, but then after awhile got very frustrated with it. Long story short finished ATI, but didn't find it helpful. I used the saunders comprehensive book instead of reading the ati stuff. Round 1 for nclex was october and I bombed in 75 questions. I knew for a fact I wasn't good enough to finish it at 75, but stayed optimistic until I saw fail. So a week later picked myself up, wasn't so bummed and then decided to prepare for round 2. Focused more on questions, training myself to go from 50 to 75 to 100 in one sitting then review rationales. Fast foward to a few days ago I was relaxed coming into my exam, knowing I'm more prepared and I could ace it. When I got to question 76, I was a little nervous but kept moving along knowing I'm still in the game. Comp stops at under 120 questions and I walked out relaxed and felt good knowing that I definitely could've passed. Then saturday I find out I failed. I'm at this point lost and not really sure of what to do next. I want to take Kaplan or Hurst in person but the dates are too late for me and I want to retest within 2 months while I'm still in that NCLEX mode. Wasn't sure if I should get the NCSBN review or just stick to answering questions. I've used lippincott alternating format, saunders questions, and the kaplan strategy book.
