Hi. Sorry I have to say this but I just finished taking the NCLEX and I know I FAILED!!! THEY WERE ALL SATAS AND PRIORITY QUESTIONS AND QUESTIONS HOW TO PUT THINGS IN ORDER AND QUESTIONS ABOUT MEDS IVE NEVER SEEN IN MY LIFE! AND WHATS WORST IS I HAVE NO MATH QUESTIONS!!! I KNOW I FAILED HU HU HU!!! IM SUCH A FAILURE AND I WOULD HATE TO GET THE BIG LETTER IN THE MAIL...
I ONLY FINISHED WITH 75 QUESTIONS AND THE COMPUTER DIDNT EVEN LET ME CROSS TO 76! MY WORLD ENDED WHEN THE COMPUTER SHUT OFF AT 75!!!!
WHY DIDNT I GET MATH QUESTIONS LIKE THE REST OF THE NURSES HERE?!?! IM SUCH A LOSER!!! WHAT A FAILURE!!! HELP MEEEEE!!!!
PEOPLE PLS ADVISE BECAUSE IM GOING OUT OF MY MIND!!!! IVE ALREADY SAID A HUNDRED ROSARIES SINCE LAST NIGHT I CANT BEAR IT ANYMORE!!!!
THE WAIT IS KILLING ME!!!!!!!!!!
You're not answering my question. Why didn't I get math questions like the rest of the nurses here? All I got was stupid priority questions and a bunch of useless SATA's... where did the math questions go? Did I really fail? This NCLEX thing is so evil!
Out of 8 people that I know who took the NCLEX from my class so far, I know of 4 who got math questions. Most of those 4 had over 75 questions. I had 190 questions and I had one math question. Take a deep breath and do what you need to do to relax. I needed to pick up the Saunders book, which I didn't use to study for the NCLEX but got from a friend and started reviewing the end chapter quizzes. This helped me to realize that I knew more than I thought I did going in and it calmed me down. Also, I figured that I didn't want to get out of practice if I did need to take it again.
Hang in there, we're rooting for ya!
So if you dont get math questions, thats a good sign because math questions are "low-level" questions? but i heard some people fail at 75... how true is this? I'm only 21 years old, soon to be 22... I REALLY FELT LIKE I FAILED. I've never had an exam that made me feel dumb and stupid like that NCLEX... its true. i THINK whoever wrote the NCLEX lacks conscience.
LLoyd, my friend, almost EVERYONE who walks out of that test feels like they failed. It is designed that most people miss 50% of the questions. So try not to give in to the failure feeling. It is looking for your baseline knowledge. Along with that the test seems to be aimed a gauging critical thinking skills. That being said I'm sure you are a fine nurse.
But why though?? thats not fair!!!
Nclex is soooo mean. Why would they design NCLEX that way? So they can feel better about themselves? They should recognize that isnt therapeutic! I had a migraine attack during and after the exam... what a bunch of bullcrap!

There is a reason, read this:

hey i know what you feel...in my case i even locked myself up in my room coz i felt really cheated! Like the freaking computer didnt give me a chance...but hey...people at allnurses told me to wait...good thing i was able to pull myself together and do what they said...whaddya know..i passed!
i didnt get any medication questions either...i got sata's and priority questions plus a bunch of drugs ive never heard in my whole life...medication questions are lower level questions...you really wouldnt want to see those
only 2 things mean when you stop at 75..either you did really good, or you did really bad...lets hope its the former...keep praying!
And believe people when they tell you to wait, and not to assume anything until you have found out thru mail or web that you have passed or failed...

I don't know why you didn't get any math questions . . no one knows. I didn't have any either and I passed with 76, if I remember correctly.
That IS an evil test. I agree.
