12/12/2014Greetings all,I took my exam 3 days ago and of course like most if not all of you, I'm stressing out and have much anxiety waiting for my results. As most of you know, we here in California doesn't have the Quick Results option (boo!), and I'm told that as of October 2014 the PVT doesn't work anymore- I know because I've tried it, haha. I guess I'll just have to wait until I get the results in the mail. I wanted to see if my name pulls up in the BVNPT license lookup to get an indication that I passed however I'm told that I would first have to pay the state the license fee to obtain the actual license, is that correct?Thank you for your responses!

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

You have to pay for your license before you are issued an actual license.

Moved to the NCLEX forum as you ask about the PVT plus there are a few threads discussing results in CA

Hi Keric2129,

I'm from CA too, the state that doesn't have quick result and slow processing. You have to wait 3-6wks for the official result from the board. If you passed, you have to sign the form and attach a check/ money order for $150 and send to BVNPT to get an initial license. When BVNPT received your money, they will post your license number on the website and send you the license within 3-4wks.

You should try PVT if you want to know pass/fail bc it's still work. (It worked for me, I passed the test last month) Gluck to you :)

Specializes in Ambulatory, Corrections, SNF, LTC, Rehab.

There's a new trick that you have to use credit card (card that is 0 or no money at all but number is valid) you have to put the card number , it either good pop up and bad pop like before :)

Specializes in ICU, Neuroscience, Telemetry, Med/Surg.

Hello keric2129! I, too have recently just taken the NCLEX PN in california, and I'm also waiting for my results. Hoping we both pass!
