NCLEX PN books - Any suggestions?

Published

I am just now in LPN school, but would like to get a really good NCLEX book to start looking thru and preparing myself. There are so many, does anyone have a suggestion on one? Or one that you found that wasn't that great? Also, I saw a book called NCLEX PN Made Incredibly Easy - anyone used this one?

I have been told by many students and nurses that Saunders is among the best if not the best. There are a couple of different one by them.

I just purchased the Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-PN examination, Edition 2. (Its the red one)

I've been looking over it and its great. It can also be used along with your text books as a study guide. It also comes with a CD.

I am sure that there are also some other great books out there. I did look at the Incredibly Easy series, I wouldn't buy it, I didn't like it at all. Just my opinion though.

I've been using Saunders for a year now and I love it! It gives great rationales and helps explain how to break down an NClex question. I haven't tried any of the others yet but am seriously considering picking up another one as I enter the last half of my program. Good luck in school! :)

Saunder's definitely...the red one..we are required to buy it for our last semester (this one) and it's GREAT!!! I bought it at the beginning and have used it all the way through. I also like Mosby's a lot. I have a few others that were passed down to me from LPN grads and I have the Made Incredibly Easy one...it's ok but not my fav. If you only buy one..get Saunders.

I agree- Saunders is the best by far. The CD-Rom really prepares you well for the NCLEX.
