NCLEX PN & PVT September 2016

Published

Ok so I took NCLEX-PN on 9/15/16. I had a total of 85 questions and mostly were the dreaded SATA. I did have a few drag and drop and diagrams! It was not easy and my anxiety was out the roof after walking out! I've done the Pearson Vue trick (PVT) about 6 times since testing and I'm getting the good pop up which helps to calm me a little even if it is only for fun it sure do help lol! And for those wondering I'm in Louisiana. I graduated on 9/1 and paid to test on 9/6 and I received my ATT on 9/13 via email! Earliest test day was 9/15 and I went for it! I didn't study much but I used Saunders NCLEX PN review book the 6th edition and I highly recommend it's a great resource to have even while in school! I will update with results as they become available and there's no quick results for PN here so I have to wait😩

Hi there, so I noticed you are the only person on here that has tested recently and I was curious what your scores were on the Evolve study questions? Did you feel like the questions on Evolve were similar to the Nclex style questions? I recently took the online review course through Kaplan and I've been doing their questions too; I've been scoring at around 50% of their questions regardless of how many questions I do. So, I'm getting 1/2 right and 1/2 wrong; not sure if that's good or bad? I know the Kaplan questions are a bit harder; I graduated nursing school in 2012; I've had 2 failed attempts; 1st time I got to question 134 or so and I failed; 2nd time I got to 168 or so and failed again! When I spoke to a representative at Kaplan I was told I must have been hoovering the passing line on both attempts, What do you think? I'm re-testing again for the 3rd time next week Sept 29th 2016; I've been reading some content that I feel I'm weak in and I've been doing at least 100 questions a day since early August; I can't seem to get 60% on Kaplan or Evolve. What do you think? I guess the good thing is I'm getting half right and half wrong; IDK... 3rd time is a charm is what I keep telling myself!
