Hi, just want to ask, once the cgfns received all the my requirements from my school and validation from licensing center what will be the next step? how long it will take? I received an email from cgfns saying that they already received my papers from school but they're still waiting for the validation from licebsing center. Do NYC require IELTS? Thanks in advance.

Cgfns received my documents 3rd week of March and they need to review and verify them. I called them the other day and the representative told me usually it will take 180 days that's too long, I started my application with them Nov of last year and already I forwarded my Form 1 to NYED.

I started my application Feb. last year and I only got everything done including the ATT 1st week of March. It really takes them a long time to process everything. NYED won't process your application until CGFNS has sent them all your credentials. Trust me waiting for a long time sucks but we just have to be patient. Hopefully they will process it sooner. Just pray for it. I over a year for it and it wasn't easy waiting. Once you get your ATT its valid for 90 days so they give you about 3 months to study.

I see..It's really crazy! I don't know where to start if continue waiting or look for a job.

I decided to work while waiting since I didn't know when everything will be done. Since they take forever to process everything even though they have the papers.

Where you working right now? Coz it's quite difficult to find a job related to our field without certifications

It was really hard to find a job. I did a free 3 week training at Partners in Care for a home health aide certificate after 3 weeks they gave me a job. I worked for them for over a year. I resigned recently so I can focus studying. Its hard to find a job without a certificate.
