NCLEX 2nd Time

Published

Hey guys just wanted to tell all NCLEX 1st Time takers NOT to feel confident about taking the NCLEX. I did and the Result was not what I really expected: FAIL. I thought that since I was just finishing Nursing school (graduated just in May and took NCLEX June 16th) I had the information fresh, TERRIBLE MISTAKE. I already schedule it again and taking it in August 2nd and now I am really focusing on studying and reviewing my weakest points; Now I feel I am gonna be ready. By the way I got a lot of Prioritazion/Delegation. Bye and if some has some advice for me I am willing to take them.

i'm in the same situation; i graduated in may and took my exam in june, failed. i thought i knew everything, i obviously didn't. i only studied for maybe two weeks my first time and it's wasn't really studying, didn't read the rationales and nothing was sticking. this time around i know better and have been studying for a month. i've reviewed my content and i'm feeling confident as time go by, majority of my practice exams, kaplan and other resources have been in the 70's and higher, got a 66% and a 67% once. i'm answering questions everyday and listening to audio recordings. i'm using saunders, la charity and other resources from allnurses. to pass the nclex no amount of test taking skills will help you out, you have to know the information. if you don't know the endocrine system, respiratory, gi, gu, renal than you aren't ready, pick up saunders and start reading. i'm taking my 2nd attempt in two weeks and i'm feeling good about it. my first time i went all the way to 265 and near passing in every area, not bad but not passing. good luck to everyone, first timers and repeaters.

Good luck on your retry.

I feel ya, I am in the same situation. I love this website because I don't feel alone, All the people from my class are passing but I didn't so that is hard. Keep ur chin up, pray and everything will go great!!!!!!!!!!

What are you doing to prepare? Are you using any review courses? If so, please read over the rationales!

Yeah I'm using Saunders and LaCharity's Delegation/Prioritization.

Of course, reading the rationales is essential to review. Taking it in 2 weeks.
