I will graduate from nursing school next year, and I plan to seek employment in another state. My question is -- will I take the NCLEX in my own state, as I apply for RN license in another state, or do I wait until I move and get a job elsewhere before I take the NCLEX in that state? Is there any problem with taking an NCLEX in one state, but not getting your license there at that time?
Thanks!!

Either scenerio is o.k. You might just want to wait and move and then take NCLEX in the state you're going to move to if it isn't going to be that much time. If it's going to be awhile it might be worth it to take is where you are because statistics show the quicker you take NCLEX the better the pass rate.
I had a friend fail NCLEX in FL and took it in another state and passed and now has to pay for another background check, license fees to FL, etc. even though she just did that in the other state a few weeks ago and it's expensive.
Good luck.
