NCLEX last question right

Hello!

I'm posting this in hopes to get some advice about my NCLEX I took today. It was my second time taking it. The first time I got all 265 questions and failed. Today I took it again for my second time and received no more than 115 questions (can't remember exactly because after 100 I stopped checking frequently).

This time around I was much more confident and less anxious, although after the test continued after 75 I definitely was scared. However, I was pleasantly surprised after I clicked next and the test stopped.

I had around 15 SATA, 3 med calculation questions, 3-4 EKG, and 3 drag and drop, along with PLENTY of meds and priority/who is most critical type of questions. My last question was a drag and drop so I was thinking this was "above passing standard", however the question was also on a very simple topic so I'm second guessing it now. I know I got it right, which also boosted my confidence. However after reading some of the posts I realized it does not matter if you get the last question right or wrong...

My thinking was, if I was "below passing standard" at question 114, why would they give me another one and me get it right, just to shut off saying I failed?? If I had gotten it wrong that would make sense. And if I got it right but wasn't at passing standard, I could see why the test would continue. But to get it right then it shut off, is it possible to fail? Has this been done?

I don't want to do the PVT and it give me the "bad pop up" just to later find out I passed (or vice versa) so I just was looking for advice on if anyone knew the deal with getting the last question right/wrong?

Thanks! and sorry for the novel.... its been a long day

Sweetie...can I call you sweetie?...I know you're super anxious and I really don't mean to sound dismissive so apologies if I do, but there is absolutely no way you or any of us can know what it means that you were given a 115th question.

I would recommend you pour yourself a glass of wine (or rootbeer, or whatever), get on your pj's, put your feet up, and watch a dumb movie.

Give yourself a night to relax. You worked hard to get to where you are today. I know various boards can be extremely nerve-wrecking but so can paralysis by analysis. Take a deep breath, recognize that at this point the result is out of your hands, and keep yourself busy until you can get the results.

Best of luck and have a good night.

Hi there! I took mine on the 23rd and got results same day.

The PVT good pop up is actually pretty darn accurate. I've only heard very few of the bad pop up being incorrect.

When I took the NCLEX my first time, i got the bad pop up and found out I failed. When I took it two days ago, I got the good pop up and found out I passed.

Try it out if you haven't already found out. Best of luck!
