I've been studying for 6 weeks with Saunders and Lippincott books and taking the Kaplan Course this week. I'm giving my self an additional 3 weeks after Kaplan to take the NCLEX and I"m hoping i got this cat in the bag :typing
Anyone have any tips for getting rid of those pre test jitters I'm all EARS!!
To all August NCLEX test takers, lets get together and beat this!!!

I exam in Aug too. I have been doing 50 questions from Kaplan and 50-100 Q's from Saunders CD. I might have to change my exam date though because I don't think I'm ready.

GOODLUCK!
I'm also scheduled to take NCLEX-PN in Aug but I don't think I'm ready.
I just started preparing myself for the exam. I started Kaplan yesterday & been doing 50 q's..so far I've only completed 100 q's lol.
I started using Saunders CD like half a week ago and I am no where near completing the cd. =(

Aww sweetie if anyone had the pefect way to get rid of the pre-NCLEX, during NCLEX and post NCLEX jitters, they could bottle it, sell it and retire from nursing or any career forever, never having to worry about money again!
A little bit of anxiety is good, keeps you on your toes. Too much and it can sabbatoge you. Just try to find that equal balance.
I wasn't really that nervous pre-NCLEX, I knew I had done everything I could for the test. I did well in school, my teachers were telling me I had a great knowledge base and all the "predictor" tests had me at between 95-99% passing for the NCLEX. Once I walked into the building my nerves started a little bit, but it wasn't a gloom and doom anxious it was a giddy, butterflies in the belly type. The kind you get when your long awaited vacation is coming up, they kind you get when you have that first date LOL. During the test those butterfiles became jet liners in my belly and after the test waiting the 48 hours it went from jet liners to a cruise ship
Just keep doing those questions. When you review your test, read ALL the rationales, not just the ones you got wrong. It will reinforse the info.
Realize that you cannot ever know everything!
Oh and most important, your odds of passing are much higher than your odds of failing! 85 in 100 first time test takers pass..those odds "ain't too shabby"
