1. Pit off

4. Increase IV Fluids
5. MD/DO
Most of the time, it will not be to call the physician. Turning off the pitocin is not invasive (one can argue that's the least invasive), for me why would you want the mother to continue getting pit that will continue increase contractions.

Hi all. I've been running across different information in all my review books and it's very frustrating.
If continuous late decels are noted (placental insuff) what order would you put the following in?
1. LLR position
2. O2 @ 8-10 LPM
3. Increase IV Fluid
4. Pit off
5. Call MD
Many books say turn pitocin off first while others are saying LLR position 1st because least invasive. I take my nclex Wednesday and I'm being paranoid over these order questions because I'm seeing different responses
thank you in advance!!!
