looking for advice on my 2nd attempt after 3 years

long story short, i decided to take another shot with nclex-RN. im going to take the test in 3 months.i tried using saunders 6th ed for my content but i stopped becoz it feels like im not retaining most of the information and theres just too much info i dont know if its information overload or anything but i just stopped and instead ive been doing 100-200 questions a day for about 3-4 weeks and i feel i learned a lot from answering. i know that just by answering isnt enough so i will try and read the book again as the test nears. to saunders users, what advice can u give me to stick with the book and not get too (fatigued?) with reading so many information? i followed the study calendar but some days were hard where 2 long chapters are to be read together. also in general how would u prepare for the nclex within 3 months

btw here are my review resources:

- Saunders 6th ed. wd questions (read about half of the book then stopped, answered about maybe 1000 questions)

-PDA by LaCharity 2nd e. (read the whole book)

-NCLEX 4000 (answered about 75% of total questions)

-35-page nclex study guide (skimmed thru it once, i really liked it on how simple it is and will read again soon)

I used same materials as yours except the NCLEX 4000. I read almost the whole book except Pedia and Psychia (they were not my weakest topics). Since I don't have enough time, I used the ATI book too. A friend let me borrow her book. I cosidered that book as a summary. I'm glad to had that book it save me time to reread again the Saunders book.

The only advised I can give, just focus to your weakest topic and you will be fine.

I used saunders, PDA but I thought Lippincott Q&A was extremely helpful because the questions were challenging and the rationales were great.

In regards to Saunders, I would say spread out the reading during the day so you don't feel overwhelmed by the material. Make notecards, they're great in remembering content, even if you feel like they're not helpful.

Also note when you're most alert, create a quiet study space because that's when you can retain the most amount of information.

I used Saunders 6th edition, saunders flashcards, LA Charity PDA and ncsbn. Passed with 75 questions second attempt. Those flashcards were a BIG help especially with Management and Pharm. Plus reading every rationale to those questions a big big plus. Goodluck. Stay focus!

thanks for the advice!unfortunately i cant get my hands on ATI book.would u suggest sticking to saunders? how many hours a day did u study or answer questions

I usually spent 2 hrs straight to study then break. Sometimes I did a couple of breaks if I feel exhausted. I forgot to mentioned, I used the NCLEX 3500 too in addition to Saunders.
