NCLEX from CA to TX

Published

I took my NCLEX last Oct. 2008 and am already planning to endorse it to Vermont since I haven't got a license from California (no SSN) and my NCLEX will be expiring this year.

I am having 2nd thoughts since I have an uncle from Texas who offered sponsorship so i could study in the US and am now planning to take up MSN/Nurse Anesthesia, but for me to do that, i had to have a Texas Nursing license.

SO i was wondering if i could endorse my NCLEX to Texas and get a license without a SSN. TIA :)

You may also want to do some research on schools that offer the Nurse

Anesthetist program. Some schools may want you to have RN experience before applying. Start here in your research http://webapps.aana.com/AccreditedPrograms/accreditedprograms.asp?State=all

It seems that we are in the same boat. I also have Michigan RN licensure. However,as I don't have SSN,I should endorse it to Vermont or try to contnue my education.I like to apply for post master's FNP or Acute Care program.

I aked this question in another post but I still dont know how can I apply for different schools in different states while all of them ask me to submit a copy of their state RN licensure before addmition. Do you have any idea about that? for exmple if you decide apply for CRNA program and send your documents to 3 schools like Virginia Commonwealth University in Virginia ,California state U Fulletron in Ca and ... what should you ? Do you still need to endorse your license?

Thanks.
