I will be testing for NC1 in two weeks and wonder what should I pay very close attention to? What does the exam consists of? I took the practice test at the back of the study guide, but not the one you pay $60 for, should I be alright. What should I know the most of?

It's been a long time since I took NC 1, but I've always found that the practice exams (on WebCT) were well worth the $60 when I was having trouble getting a feel for the material.

Hi, I am writing NC 1 on monday, and while I am currently sitting at home on a sat night freaking out and studying, I am really glad I purchased the EC practice tests. Everyone seems to say they are worth it; I definetly have a better idea of what to look at. I will update you on monday!

I too am taking NC 1...April 30 actually...while I am very nervous I review any difficult subjects I encountered in my module and review several sources on that matter until I understand. I can't afford the 60 dollars with two kids, a mortgage, and the tests that cost 220 a pop. I did the same thing for my LPN boards and passed with flying colors. I also believe it depends on what type of learner you are. Now I know for micro I will definetely be purchasing a study guide and practice test. I guess what I'm saying here in this lengthy paragraph is do what you will feel best doing! And good luck to you!
hey again. yep passed with an A! (I was completely suprised). Turns out there were only a couple of med calc Q's, and most of it was just pretty general information. It could have been alot harder - there is so much information in the tcn module...and the test at the back was WAY harder than the real exam.
I think the EC practice tests helped me the most - alot of the Q's are the same...
cheers and good luck!
