  1. Thanks for the replies! I need a couple of the textbooks for Excelsior since they added a couple of things recently. I guess I'll look on Ebay.
  2. I just need a bigger house period. Our two year old has taken over all the extra space: Dora kitchen, mini table, chairs, toy box, etc. Unless I want pretty crayon drawings on everything used for studying it has to be out of her sight. I wanted to ask you ladies also, did you enroll through Exc. or through TCN or something like it?:sofahider
  3. This is so funny! I thought I was the only one..I'm running out of room for everything. On top of textbooks, I also have notebooks shoved full of information found online. I've started to go through everything being that I'm buckling down and getting this RN course over with. I'm finding it hard to part with these things though...packrat I guess. Whichever, I wish everyone the best with their classes!:redpinkhe:w00t:
  4. I too am taking NC 1...April 30 actually...while I am very nervous I review any difficult subjects I encountered in my module and review several sources on that matter until I understand. I can't afford the 60 dollars with two kids, a mortgage, and the tests that cost 220 a pop. I did the same thing for my LPN boards and passed with flying colors. I also believe it depends on what type of learner you are. Now I know for micro I will definetely be purchasing a study guide and practice test. I guess what I'm saying here in this lengthy paragraph is do what you will feel best doing! And good luck to you!
  5. I passed!!! I cant believe it....thank you suzanne again and the best of luck to all of you who are going to take the nclex!
  6. Well....I just returned from the test center and am biting my nails terribly...thank you for the luck and the same to you...again thank you suzanne for all your help and will hopefully find out tomorrow if i am lucky!
  7. I just wanted to say I'm taking my boards this thursday and am so nervous! I wanted to thank Suzanne for all your help...having graduated quite some time ago I found your program to be just what I needed...now it's my turn to put to use all the information and cross my fingers that I will pass for myself and children!
  8. I too am doing Suzannes study plan, got the Saunders book and it is really a great review book, i have had others and this one seems to explain the details that really matter so they stick out, on top of the book there is also a CD with sample questions. But you are right Amy...after learning everything and not using it the book just unlocks your memory...I find myself sitting and reading and banging myself on the forehead saying Duh!! I remember that!
  9. I also just started the program last weekend! I do have yahoo .....just send a friend invite and we can help each other when we need it! Thx again...it's nice coming on here and talking with ppl that know what you are going thru and how hard it is...sometimes my family forgets and I have to remind them...by the way...Saunders is wonderful and doing the tests first at the end really helps me see my strengths and weaknesses so I can focus on a couple of things instead of a lot. Please share yahoo messenger IDs by pm only, do not post them here. This is for your safety.
  10. Thx for the link Amy! I graduated in 2000 and if I keep up my good study skills and finish the Saunders and then continue with the six weeks Suzanne advises....hopefully by July I will have taken and PASSED the boards.
  11. Hi everyone! Good luck to you Igle...Just wanted to say thanks to Suzanne for the advice with the book and wanted to let you know that I finally get the acid base balance...thx in large to Saunders! I had to share this with someone...in school I remember it was a difficult subject for me and I just couldn't grasp it and now I can. By the way, I went to those posts Amy from people that graduated a while ago as I did and it gives me hope that I too will pass...thx!
  12. I also graduated a few years back and have yet to take my boards...do you have any advice as I am starting to study and hope to reach my goal finally after all this time! Please help!
