NC BON

Has anyone had to deal with the NC BON. I have seen a lot of people on here dealing with Florida and California but nothing for NC. I surrendered my license over a year ago due to not being able to participate in the AP program at the time due to money restraints. Does anyone know if you can enter in to the program after you surrender or is that not a possibility. I know NC is one of the hardest states to get a reinstatement of your license just wasn't sure if anyone had had any interaction the the NC BON to help. Thanks

NC BON is horrible. A total joke to deal with. Zero response to calls or emails, just want their money for testing. Good luck!

I have been working with a lot of nurses recently dealing with the NCBON and I have been amazed at the stuff I have been learning. I have been getting heavily involved in the recovery community and volunteer at a couple places and sit in sometimes at the local treatment center where the nurses are required to go. (I am actually considering changing my entire career path to this area) It stinks you surrendered your license. You were better off dealing with a suspension. Because it's harder to get your license back surrendering it and if they do grant it back, they are still going to require you to go through the program anyway it just probably won't be eligible for the AP option anymore. No matter what one way or another they will get their way if you want to nurse in this state again.
