Have you met with a recruiter? They will be able to answer your questions and provide you with information.

If you want to be a RN (commissioned officer) you need a BSN for all of the services. If you want to enlist and become an LPN the Army is the only service which uses LPN's. Being an officer is better than enlisted, I have been both.

What Jeck said.
Both can be a lot of fun though. Kinda depends on your personality, goals, timeline, family situation, and so on.

You can go enlisted as a Medic or Corpsman and gain invaluable experience, and then get out and use your GI Bill to pay for college. There is also the option of getting picked up for an enlisted to officer program while being active duty (but all programs are highly competitive and never guaranteed). There is no easy route, no guarantee, and there are several routes to do things. Me, personally, I am prior service where I spent most of my time working as a Corpsman. I gained invaluable experience that made nursing school much easier for me than my peers. Now I am knee deep in reenlisting as an officer. However, I wish I would have listened and utilized an enlisted to officer program while I was active duty.
