navy nurse practitioners

I have not been able to find out much about the role of nurse practitioners in the Navy. How many are there? How often do they deploy? What is their role on deployments? Are they stationed hospitals/clinics overseas? Where do they primarily work - clinics or hospitals or ships? How does their scope of practice compare to civilian?

I am moving your thread to the Military forum for better response. I do not know much about the utilization of NPs in the military. I do know they are utilized, just have 0 numbers for you. When I considered this, I would have been utilized at sea and in the military hospitals.
