Hi all-this might sound complicated. I just got into DNP FNP school. I saw they were giving a $2100 monthly stipend while in school and you just have to sign a commitment (not sure on years). Just wondering- if you take this, do you have to complete the physical part first or is that deferred until you finish school? I've been waiting on a recruiter to call me, but anxious to know! Thanks. Also-has any NPs gone this route?

I'd be very surprised if they had a large amount of billets for this. In all honesty the military doesn't use a ton of NPs. I would NOT bank on this even being close to a guarantee.
Yes you would need to pass a physical fitness test.

Essentially, when you apply for the program you go through MEPS just like everyone else and sign your contract like everyone else. In the basic answer, yes.

Hey, I know it’s been a while. Did you ever hear back from the recruiter?
