Navy NCP FY2017

Published

I have been looking through some other threads related to the Navy NCP program on here. I have yet to find any that are for FY 2017 so I decided to register and start my own :) I am going to MEPS for my physical and interviews tomorrow. My kit is being sent out for the October boards. Anyone else applying for 2017???

Hopefully we hear an answer soon, before thanksgiving would be great present for everyone... Good luck to you alll!! The wait is killing..

Was just notified that I got selected! Extremely excited!

Congratulations!! I'm still anxiously waiting, did you receive a letter or did your recruiter notify you?

Congratulations to those of you who made it. Just out of curiously what was your GPA's? I am curious because I have a 3.7, I volunteer at the va and I'm also currently in the Navy reserves. I found out I didn't make it in and and can't help but think what the heck more could I have done? My gpa has been a 4.0 since I joined the navy. Again congratulations and any information helps...

Me too! So excited and happy. Congrats!

For those of you that have been notified, did you receive a letter? I'm just curious because I called my recruiter and he hasn't heard anything and I'm very anxious about it. Thanks in advance!

No letter yet, just a phone call with "pre-approval" so he said barring something catastrophic. I think that the paperwork is supposed to come in a few weeks, but I'm not sure. That's weird, I wonder why some recruiters know and not others?

Hang in there! Best of luck!

Man I am sorry to hear that you didn't get selected this time around. I was prior service Marine Corps, 3.8 GPA, full-time student using GI Bill to complete school. Wasn't really sure what they were looking for either. Just completed the package and hoped for the best. How did your interviews go?

My recruiter called me :)

Thanks for the info! I had a 3.0 before I joined the navy. Went back and for the last 4 semesters plus this semester have had a 4.0. I have had the highest letter of recommendation from my CO. Plus the interviews gave me perfect scores. Ive heard of way lower overall GPA's getting accepted. I appreciate the information! Would be nice if I had something to go off why I wasn't selected. However, I will continue to work and try again next year. Thanks again!

Congratulations to you all who made, Im very Happy for you! Unfortunately, I didnt make it, I will have to work on my GPA for the next semesters and apply for 2018 again. I hope to join you all in the fleet soon. :-)
