What graduating class are you all in? I will be taking the NCLEX next month and beginning an RN-BSN bridge in January. I have not yet submitted my packet but my recruiter tells me that I need to do it ASAP to get into the NCP graduating in 2014.
I am also wondering about other people's experiences with the physical assessment prior to applying. I am working on meeting the weight requirement; I'm not too far off now. I wish I had more time to work on it, but I'm feeling the pressure to get the packet in so I wonder how close we need to be.
Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. I'll look forward to talking with you all.

I am graduating in May 2013. It takes about 2 - 3 months to get everything together (including interviews, MEPS, paperwork, etc...) for submission. From everything my recruiter tells me, you need to get your NCP package in soon. Since you are an experienced RN, you should have a better chance of picking up a spot. I think the Navy is looking for psyc and critical care nurses.
I think as long as you are close to height/weight specs, you will not have a problem clearing your MEPS physical. You would just need to be within specs before attending ODS.
Good luck!

Does anyone know when the board will meet again for Navy NCP selections? They began accepting new kits August 1, 2011.
