I'm in the Marine Corps and planning on applying for this program this year. I have tried to look up all the orders but haven't found a whole lot. I am planning on contacting the point of contact on the Maradmin but would like help from someone that was accepted already. I would take any help you can lend me.

no one in the marine corps will know about the application process unless they have applied themselves
you will not find any help by contacting the poc on the maradmins. when i tried to do that the poc stated they had know idea what the program was and you will get forwarded to many other offices that will be of no assistance. i would suggest seeing the equivalent of the navy's "career planner".
i was not fortunate enough to know about this when i submitted my package but still managed to be selected.
opnavinst 1420.1a, change-3, is the order regarding mecp
http://www.med.navy.mil/sites/navmedmpte/pages/medicalenlistedcommissioningprogram.aspx has further instructions about how to put your package together and what the board is looking for.
you need to have at least 6 years on your contract (basically you have to reenlist)
submit a conditional release
fill out the application on the website above
have 3 interviewer appraisal sheets filled out, at least one must be a nurse corps officer. the more the better.
have an outstanding commanding officer's endorsement on your application
have a letter of acceptance to a nursing school that is scheduled to start in the fall, or at least a provisional letter of acceptance (pending completion of your prerequisites)
have a proven track record for leading (pros&cons, or fitreps will reflect this)
take sat or act and meet the minimum score as stated in the order
also include in your package
awards
birth cert
physical (dd form 2808, 2807)
security clearance
transcripts
degree progress report
lor that make it look like you walk on water (these are different than the nurse corps interviewer appraisal sheets)
follow the instructions on the website, read everything and every instruction multiple times to make sure you don't miss anything.
they have listed a check sheet for your convenience but it is not all encompassing for marines since we have to include additional correspondence.
it's beneficial to have really good grades, volunteer at a hospital
start putting your package together now. the conditional release took the longest. it had to be endorsed by the 1st general in your chain of command and then submitted to hqmc.
make sure you meet the requirements in both the maradmin and the opnavinst.
it is really competitive.
courses that are a plus are
anatomy & physiology
biology
psychology
sociology
english
chemistry
statistics
these are usually prereqs for nursing school and are pretty much guaranteed to transfer to your degree

good luck
