If you need help with your package let me know I was just selected for FY-09 and will be attending East Carolina University in the fall.
Congratulations on your selection. I just decided to apply for the program, so I don't have anything together yet. I need alot of help with it and also with my statements. I recently graduated from a LPN course and I am studying to take my boards hopefully in February. I am not a Corpsman, I am an aviation electronics tech, but I did complete the online corpsman "A" school on NKO. What are the board members looking for in the package and in the statements? Any help or advise you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Go ARMY! I spent 9 years in the Navy Reserves as a Hospital Corpsman. I have been an LVN/LPN since 1994. Navy doesn't recognize LVN, LPN, or ADN RN's. You must have your BSN. I joined the Army Reserves and I am a 68WM6. The Mike six identifies me as an LPN in the Army. The 68 "whiskey" is comparable to the Navy Corpsman. As an ADN RN you can join the Army Reserves and be Commissioned as a 2nd LT (Ensign in Navy). Or if you are Active Duty, you can check out the Blue to Green program, join the Army and Apply for the AECP program which is equavalent to the MECP program. Only difference is that according to fellow military members who have applied to one or the other program, the AECP is not as hard to get into! FYI, I was just at Fort Sam Houston where the Army Medical Department is and they are preparing for the joint collaboration with the Airfoce, Navy and Army medical departments. It is my understanding that in the near future, all medical training for ALL branches of military will be held at Fort Sam Houston and governed by the Army. If anyone has any better information, please let us know. Soooooo GO ARMY!

I have been interested in this program for quite some time. I have started taking my pre-reqs for the nursing program near my house but realized that not every school has the same pre-reqs. What are the exact requirements for the Mecp program? I saw on site that showed the req of age, enlistments etc but nothing on what exact courses I need. I also dont know the process of this. I went to my navy college counslor and he was NO help. If someone could contact me I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

Congratulations on your selection HM1. I am a YN2 and I was wondering if you could help me with my package for MECP. I have everything for my package except the CO's endorsement and interview appraisals. My CCC is working on putting together a three panel interview for me and I am in the process of drafting an endorsement. Since I am a YN, I was told that it would be better for me to write up an endorsement and then present it to the CO. Unfortunately I have never had the task of writing an endorsement, especially one about myself. I am also struggling with my personal statement, once againd not good at writing about myself.
What is the board looking for in the personal statement and endorsement? What should I expect during my interviews? How can I ensure that my package is good enough for the board?
This is my first time applying and I am so nervous. Nursing is something that I have always wanted to do and I want this so bad. I just need to figure out a way to convey that to the selection board on paper :)
Any advice or suggestions you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
