I am coming to my place of comfort to yell in frustration!
Okay here is my timeline.
July-Meet with my recruiter
October-MEPS
December-Interviews
March-Boards
Well, I have my BSN and a Master of Social Work and Public Health. Currently I work in casemanagement (dual role sw and nursing).
Well, my recruiter told me recently that the navy needs social workers more than nurses currently. So, I had to submit all this information from my masters, more references, etc. I have done all of that. Then every week on monday she says we should have your decision back from the board by friday. Then the next week its another form, another paper, another signature, etc. I had to complete my security clearance again in December which expires tommorow March 31st .My recruiters told me to come by and sign more extra forms since I switched over.
If my security clearance expires they says it takes 4-6 weeks to do again. I am sooooooooooo frustrated :banghead:. I let me my son (4 years old) go to my mothers so I could really work out and now its been 2 months since he has been there and I would have thought I would be done now or atleast finished .
I am just frustrated. This process is taken so ooooo long. I have lost the weight, gotten in shape and gave the USN every document that I have ever had. I told my husband last night that I am going to set a date and if everything isen't done I might reconsider. My family keeps trying to encourage me to stay in there because I am almost there and my recruiter is trying to keep me motivated but I am slowly loosing stamina.
I don't know if I am looking for any advice, encouragement or just venting right now. But if you have read this thanks for listening.
Slowly looosing stamina

all I can say is "Hang in there"...the paperwork is daunting but the reward will be great!!! You will be a USN Officer! (Ok so you'll be blue and we'll be green (until we officially go blue too that is)) but, it'll all be so worth it... you'll get what you need from it while doing Country a great service!!!!
I'll be proud to shake your hand as a fellow Officer when you are commissioned......friend!
