Is anybody else out there applying to Navarro? The deadline is fast approaching and I'm already a nervious wreck. Last year's students started a thread to support each other during the wait and I have read it so many times. I thought it would be good to start another one for all of us who are already worried sick...hoping and praying that we've done enough to achieve our dream...

I haven't called again.Don't want to bug anyone.I'm sure they are used to students calling and calling.so so nervous.

At the info session she said,"we know you guys will wanna know if you're accepted but please refrain from calling. We are just as anxious as you are". So I have tried really hard to be patient and not call. But it's getting to the point where I just want to know so I can figure out if I'm going to take summer classes or not.

i kinda need to know also. I still have to take nutrition, psych, and the orientation class. plus...my principals are on me to tell them if i'm coming back or not. they've offered me a contract and i need to tell them something by the end of next week. they can't start looking for a replacement until i resign and certified spanish teachers aren't easy to find...especially ones that are willing to work where i do.

Well if we haven't heard anything by the middle of next week you should probably call or email them and explain your situation. Maybe they can make an exception and tell you early due to your situation.

I emailed them right after I posted that. I just told them that I had a contract offer and that I teach a critical shortage subject so they're pressing me to either sign the contract or resign. I don't expect a definite day but I do need to know about when in May. There's a big difference in finding out in early May or at the end. I'm waiting to hear back.

if we find out in may,do classes start in june,july or august?

I'm think they start in August for generic applicants. But I'm not 100% sure.

Yeah generic starts in Late August (23rd or around there). :)

they said we would know "soon." I'm not sure what that means...how soon?
