We've had hurricanes and tornadoes every inch of this Peninsula.

Tampa is a huge weakness should it be hit, but thankfully we haven't been hit for years and years and years....but that is only a roll of the dice. I pray for the people in Lady Lake. You take the good with the bad no matter where you life in Florida.

I live in florida and the damage is bad here lake county got it the worst deland was the second worst.

According to the web site above, Jacksonville is the least likely to be hit at odds of 1 in 100. The map shows the Tampa area at 1 in 25.

Interesting. About Jacksonville.

Just like those waiting in California for the "big one". We in Tampa Bay realize we haven't had a direct hit in many decades, though we've had some scares.

If I wanted to move to Florida and was worried about hurricaines I would definately stay away from the Panhandle. Seems like they seem to get the brunt of hurricanes and tropical storms the last 10 years than anywhere else.
