National University 2022 start

Wanted to start a thread for those that applied to National University for Jan 2022 start. Anyone have any insights as to what kind of questions they ask during the interview process? I tired looking around other threads, but none of them seem to give any clear answers.

Hi there,

I'm in the process of applying to various CRNA programs, one of which is National.  I do know of a friend who got in the last application period, started school there but ended up accepting another offer.  So, I'll be talking to her re: the interview process.

Do you know if the school has an official letter of reference form for our references?  I asked them over the phone and they referred me to the director who forwarded my email, but from what my friend tells me it seems a free text letter on letter head suffices.... did you do this when applying?  I'm just looking for clarification on this matter.  The app is a bit different in that they require a physical paper application packet aside from the online app.

Do you mind sharing a bit about yourself and how you ended up on this journey towards CRNA school?  Have you applied elsewhere, had interviews?

Best of Luck!

Hello, I've been chasing the CRNA path since my freshman year of high school! Looking up anesthesia videos and shadowing some CRNA's and anesthesiologist since back then has only gotten me pumped and excited to start applying this year. I plan on applying to National University and Loma Linda this year. If I don't get in this year, then I'm planning to take the GRE and some extra classes to apply all around the year after.

My commutative GPA is 3.8, my science classes GPA is 4.0. have my CCRN, and I've worked in an ICU/CCU for 2 years. This is my first time applying and I'll go to whichever program takes me first.

I called them regarding the letters of recommendation. Although it states there is a form online for the letters of recommendation, THERE IS NOT. I called to confirm, they said to just have the person writing the letter put it in an envelope and sign across the seal.

Hey there

3rd time applicant to NU here. I interviewed the first year but they were worried about my GPA. Retook some courses, built a rapport with the director, attended open houses and even shadowed a class of the physiology professor who was so hard on my GPA.

Then I reapplied only to find out most of the faculty left so I did not get an interview. I was have been in contact with the asst director and he said "I look forward to your application and interview" so I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I reallllly want this!

Interview is all personal questions and via Zoom this year. You'll get a link to the critical thinking test which is a little weird but you can't study for it.

Good luck! ?Don't mind me, I'll just be anxiously checking my mail every day??

I have also applied to the CRNA program at National and am wondering if anyone knows when we will find out about interviews. I’m also wondering, if we are not selected for an interview… will they notify us? I don’t like the “not knowing”!

I received my rejection letter on Sept 5th last year via mail.

Sorry for taking a while to respond.  Thank you! I'm Checking my email every day as well.  Best of luck!

So it sounds like email for an interview and regular mail for a denial. I’d love to email and check on the status of my application but I’m worried I’d be a bother!
