National University San Diego

Has anyone had any luck with applying at National University for their nursing program? I applied back in Oct 06 and have been waiting to hear from them. They are supposed to notify in 3 months. I have called and called and written email upon emails with no response really. :banghead: Please, if anyone has applied and received some sort of letter, I would greatly appreciate your reply.

Hello! I just got my acceptance letter for the July 2011 start date (cohort 27 I think???) and I was wondering if the first class we will be taking will be an online class? My best friend is getting married on 7/26 in Cabo and I am supposed to be in the wedding but I'm worried that I won't be able to go because I will miss class. Any info is appreciated! Thanks! :D

Congrats on your acceptance to Cohort 27! I got my acceptance letter last week. I am also wondering if the first couple classes are online or not. I am supposed to have my big formal wedding August 13th. I am looking at bumping it up to June.

naomiomio and swede_girl- I just got my acceptance letter last week also! I'm glad to "find" some others on here that are starting in July.. I have absolutely no idea what to expect and of course I am stressed out about the scheduling etc. Maybe we can start a new thread for the Cohort 27 folks??

Biostats is super easy. I did a stats class before this and it was very similar. Basically, if you have done a stats class you should be fine. Teachers are a great help. Just keep on top of the material. I got an easy A.

Congrats sdopem and naomiomio!! :yeah: We def should start a thread for our cohort! Do you know how to do that? I don't think I have enough postings to do that yet. Maybe post on this one if you do. :)

For biostats I would recommend using either the excel for dummies or SPSS for dummies book, depending on which program your class will be using. Prof Lemberg was great! We used excel which I had never used before and I was very intimidated at first as well but he did a great job teaching and the excel for dummies book really came in handy if you get confused or need clarification.

It helps if you've had a stat class before but I've met many in the same class who never took any prior and did really well still. Good luck!

Thank you so much! I so appreciate it! I did end up buying the book they recommended which is Statistical Analysis with Excel for Dummies. :) Hopefully that helps! I had received the book the other day and thought "what the hell did I do!" hahaha. Thanks so much for your input1 I appreciate it.
