Hi! I plan to apply for NU's cohort 79 this year. Deadline to submit applications is May 10, 2024. I figured I would make this thread in case there are students out there who are interested in applying for the program as well. ?

Hi,

I also plan on applying for this cohort. I am a little late in the game. I am taking biostatistics now. Then I plan on taking my TEAS in April. Hopefully we both get in!

Hi! Same here!! Heard they're way less seats available for that cohort. What's your GPA ?

Nooooo, do not tell me that!! Why is there less this cohort. As of now it says my CUM GPA is 3.873. I'm taking biostatistics now I have 1 week left and sitting at a 98% so it's safe to say I will get an A. I Took my prereqs at National and got all A's except for one B in A&P 1 lab and 1 A- in Microbiology  lecture??‍♀️ Are you applying for the BSN second bachelor's? I still have to take my TEAS and I am nervous ?

Wait, where did you hear this? Makes me nervous knowing that! I'll be retaking Anatomy and Physio 1 at NU on March 4 so if I get an A my GPA will jump up to 3.74. Still have to retake the TEAS with the new version around early April. I finished Biomedical Stats this past December with an A though! What are your stats?!

You're going to be fine! The independent project wasn't as bad as I thought. Just a bit time consuming haha. I also ended the class with a 98%! This would be my second Bachelor's as well! Hope we all get in!

Hello,

Why are there less seats in the cohort?

Thanks!

Hey all,

Can someone tell me what the program length is for the accelerated 2nd Bachelor's nursing program at National?

Hi! The program is 22 months long. You take one course every 4-8 weeks.

Not sure where that person got the info from but a friend who's currently in the program said it's 40 seats per cohort.

In the nursing forum on March 12 they informed us that there is only 18 seat for the upcoming cohort. It will go back to 40 seats with cohort 80. They also said  this cohort will be real competitive due to only having 18 seats. You need a GPA of at least 3.6 and a TEAS score of like 90 just to get an interview 🤦🏾‍♀️

To those who have been to the pre-nursing forum, how long did the meeting last? I need to register but I'm unknow sure if it will conflict with work.

No longer than an hour, if that long
