It doesn't appear that anyone is overseeing your progress as a student - you're in different STATES all the time. The small class size sounds great but I get that the one on one is one attending or CRNA with one student; not the same as having faculty with you. So you're paying all this tuition without any direct supervision from the program. Even the name makes me nervous - sounds like on on-line diploma mill. If the tuition were very, very cheap - OK. But what I'm seeing is another NA program that has thrown the burden of teaching onto anesthesiology staff may, or may not, be interested in teaching. The student, however, pays the same as if he were working with faculty anesthetists who have invested their time into teaching, who have chosen to work with student exclusively. Programs like this make be sad for our once honorable profession. Not the student's fault; it's our leaderships' failures.

Subee,

This is not an accurate assessment. The National University, Nurse Anesthesia program students work directly with program faculty, the Assistant Program Director and the Program Director in the operating room. The program is focused on independent, full scope of practice, and accomplishes this mission and vision very well. Graduates and program faculty and community CRNAs can attest to the quality and outcomes of the program.

Blah, blah. Who keeps the money not spent on instructors? Maybe I am too cynical. Do you, in fact, have CRNA instructors who are employed by National at every clinical site?
